Tips To Getting Your Mustang Ready For A Car Show

The day of the car show is approaching, and you want to get your Mustang set for the big event. Detailing is a must. You should start with a basic wash and chamois dry off, and then apply your favorite wax. If there is any spot that needs a bit of extra attention, now is the time to do it. Use polish where necessary to even out the shine, or go to compound if the finish is looking a bit dull. Be careful to use the correct grade of compound so you don-t take off too much more than a minimum amount of paint.
Once all waxed and shiny, you can move on to the rubber moldings, chrome trim and then the tires. Nothing beats a well shined set of rubber on nice clean wheels. It can also help to get down and look underneath to see what might need some help there.
Check the interior for needed vinyl treatment, then carpet cleaning and move to the trunk area for a spruce up inside. Even if your Mustang is not a trailer queen, it will benefit from a detail that covers all the bases, including under the hood.
Displaying the car with some memorabilia, books or magazines and restoration photographs if available, can add a lot to the presentation. The best part is yet to come, showing off your classic ‘Stang and getting to talk to others about it.
